Tuguegarao ‘boxer’ cop relieved for punching trainee

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan- A police officer was relieved from his post at the city police after he allegedly punched an on-the-job trainee here, police said.

Police Officer 3 Vicente Lacambra was relieved from his post at the intelligence section here and was brought to far-flung Abulug police in the northernmost town in Cagayan.

The relief came after Lacambra punched the ribcage of Christian Bueno, a graduating criminology student and on-the-job trainee, for not heeding his instruction.

Not contented, Lacambra brought Bueno to the intelligence section and punched again the trainee’s stomach. His fellow police officers pacified him.

Lacambra earlier instructed Bueno to bring his motorcycle for repair to a shop but the latter brought it instead to his classmate, a mechanic.

Bueno’s parents have been poised to lodge physical injury charges and administrative complaint against Lacambra. PNA
