MANILA, Philippines- Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. expressed gratitude on Tuesday to the Supreme Court (SC) for allowing the burial of his father, former President Ferdinand E. Marcos, at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB).
“We are deeply grateful to the Supreme Court for its decision to allow the burial of my father, former President Ferdinand E. Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. Once again, the Supreme Court has taken a magnanimous act to uphold the rule of law,” Marcos said.
The young Marcos also extended his thanks to President Rodrigo R. Duterte, who was first to raise interest to have the former President buried at the Libingan, for his “unwavering commitment” on the issue.
“Our family will forever be thankful for his kind gesture,” he added.
