TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- The Cagayan Valley’s Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) has approved a P40 increase in daily minimum wage rates for employees and workers from the private sector this September.
Through Wage Order No. RTWPB 02-18, the adjustment in minimum wage rates for private sector workers will take effect on September 25, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 02 said.
Issued on Friday, August 11 , the new order has been published at The Northern Forum on Sunday, September 10.
Wage for non-agriculture; and retail/service establishments employing more than 10 workers have adjusted to P340. Workers from agriculture will get P320 and retail/service establishments employing not more than 10 workers will get P300.
DOLE said the new order covers the cities of Tuguegarao, Cauayan and Santiago and the Provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Viscaya and Batanes. Northernforum.net
