Malasakit Center to cater more than 1000 patients a day

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go graced the launching of the Malasakit Center in Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC), January 14, 2020.

Sen. Go said that this program of the government aims to lessen the loads of the patients in working on their hospital bills.

You don’t need to line up to different government agencies for financial assistance in paying your hospital bills. I learned this when the president is still the mayor of Davao City.

Go also said that Malasakit Center is like a one stop shop where it lessens the efforts of the patients to look for medical assistance specifically paying of bills.

When I was still in Davao, the president told me that he will not continue to stay mayor if he could not help the patients asking for help from other provinces. He gave me the task to work on the problem so that we could help our fellow Filipinos.

The Malasakit Center in CVMC is the first in the region and 58th in the whole country. This year, Isabela Governor Rodolfo Albano said that they will also launch their Malasakit Centers in the three cities in their province.

CVMC caters more than 1000 patients a day according to Dr. Glen Matthew Baggao, medical chief.

Dr. Baggao said that the office of the president will give Php 5 million medical assistance for the patients of CVMC monthly.

Sen. Bong Go promised to push for the 1000 bed capacity for CVMC this year which was already proposed by third district representative Jojo Lasam Lara.

He also turned over Php 5 million assistance for the hospital from the office of the president. TNF
