TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Some 14 new members of the Police Regional Advisory Council (RAC) took their oath during the Valley Cops’ flag raising ceremony on Monday, March 5.
Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) Regional Director Chief Superintendent Jose Mario Espino administered the oath-taking ceremony of the new members led by RAC Vice-Chairman and Cagayan Third District Board Member Rosauro Resuello.
The RAC serves as an advisory body of the police and are significantly crucial to the implementation of the ‘Peace and Order Agenda for Transformation and Upholding of the Rule of Law’ (P.A.T.R.O.L.) Plan 2030, PRO2 Information Officer Superintendent Chevalier Iringan said.
Among the new members are Resuello, Philippine Information Agency Regional Director Purita Licas, former Department of Tourism Regional Director and current Girl Scouts of the Philippines Cagayan Council President Blessida Diwa, and RBC Cable’s Rodel Ordillos.
In his speech, Resuello emphasized that peace and order can only be achieved and maintain with the effective participation of the various stakeholders in the formulation and realization of the peace and security program of the PNP.
“Rest assured that as members of the Regional Advisory Council we will do everything within our power to activate the different sectors we represent and help you achieve the target of P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030,” Rosuello said.
The board member was also the guest of honor and speaker of the ceremony.
Meanwhile during the activity, the RAC members also witnessed PRO2’s blessing, distribution, and turn-over of newly acquired equipment, particularly four light personnel carrier 4×4 from police national headquarters, to different police provincial offices (PPOs) and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 2.
PPOs of Cagayan, Isabela, and Quirino each received the newly acquired vehicles while Santiago Police Office and all PPOs except Batanes received new equipment such as Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) equipments, 94 Investigative kits, three global positioning system (GPS), and seven night vision goggles.
Also on Monday, members of the Regional Police Strategy Management Unit were awarded a Medalya ng Papuri for their “eminent, meritorious and invaluable effort” which “greatly contributed” achieving PRO2’s ‘Gold Eagle Award’ on the third stage of the Performance Governance System-Proficiency Stage.
PRO2 garnered the highest score of 97.59% among the eight police offices which received ‘Gold Eagle Award’ in Camp Crame last August 2017.
The awarding ceremony was done to boost the morale of police personnel who contributed in the success of the Valley Cops, Iringan said. Northernforum.net
