Noemi’s summer took an unexpected turn when she tragically fell from the stage during a concert, leading her to cancel several performances. Recently, she opened up in a revealing interview, sharing the raw emotions she experienced right after the incident that occurred in San Salvo Marina, an area in the province of Chieti. This incident not only challenged her physically but also transformed her outlook on resilience and creativity.
During her conversation with the team from Tv, Sorrisi e Canzoni, Noemi reflected on her hit single "Tu cosa fai questa sera," which has captured the hearts of listeners and has been dubbed the anthem of summer 2026. She expressed joy over the song’s success, attributing her good fortune to the twists and turns of life, especially in light of her recent challenges.
A Summer of Surprises
In her interview, Noemi chose two striking words to encapsulate her summer experience: “unpredictable” and “incredible.” She acknowledged the harsh realities of life, quoting an American phrase, “Sh*t happens,” which translates to “bad things happen.” However, she firmly believes that tough moments can lead to new opportunities. “I’m used to falling, but there’s always a way to rise again. I don’t wallow in self-pity,” she stated, showcasing her determined spirit.
The incident in Abruzzo was indeed alarming. As she recounted, “I fell off the stage; it was quite a scare, and the landing was far from gentle. I broke my pelvis, a small bone in my hand, and chipped the fifth vertebra in my neck. I hit my head, and the skin split open, exposing the bone on my forehead.”

Three Weeks of Recovery
It goes without saying that the video capturing her fall went viral, bringing extra attention to her ordeal. As a result of her injuries, Noemi was forced to pause her career for three weeks. “I was immobile at first, then I started light physiotherapy. I was very scared; I thought I had broken my spine. But my sense of humor helped me through. It’s part of my personality. I believe these are messages from the universe, sometimes it’s time to stop and reflect,” she shared.
During her hospital stay, she didn’t let her creativity dwindle. With her laptop and microphone by her side, she found solace in music. “Music always finds a way in, and so do ideas. I had a lot of free time while lying in bed. This reminded me that creativity requires time, and music has always been my anchor,” Noemi explained.

The Comeback and Its Rewards
Finally, the day came for her to return to the stage, albeit with crutches. “You have to get back up and not be afraid mentally. After a month of being still, I thought, ‘I’ll do the concerts seated.’ For me, music is energy, and feeling energetic and strong helps to boost your courage,” she emphasized.
Now, she relishes the delayed success of her song “Tu cosa fai stasera,” which was released at the end of May and continues to dominate the charts. “It’s a bit characteristic of my songs: they’re like diesel engines, slow to climb. The audience listens, and gradually they become attached to the songs; my pieces enter their hearts more slowly,” she elaborated, highlighting the organic connection she fosters with her listeners.
