TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Tuguegarao City councilor Gilbert Labang has filed “unjust vexation” charges against a kagawad in Barangay Caritan Centro in this city.
In a report, police said Labang opted to file charges against barangay kagawad Teofilo Calucag Jr after the latter ran amok a day after the May 14 elections.
Labang told police he was standing at his terrace when Calucag, aboard his tricycle, stopped in front of his house and “challenge” him.
Calucag, according to the report, accused Labang of being a “bias” politician, as he was pointing his finger to Labang.
Labang reportedly ignored the suspect and told him to just leave.
The suspect then told Labang, “Meski agalam mu ngamin bodyguard mu taw, ari na maganassing nikaw.”
(Even though you call all your bodyguards there, I am not afraid of you.)
