TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Isabela Governor Faustino “Bojie” Dy III on Tuesday, October 18, has ordered the pre-positioning of relief goods in low-lying areas of the province.
During the pre-disaster assessment meeting, Dy said the pre-positioning is in anticipation of Typhoon Lawin’s wrath in the province starting Wednesday, October 19.
He also urged the province’s town mayors to implement pre-emptive evacuation so no casualty will be recorded.
At least 10,000 packs of relief goods were in the areas that are usually flooded during heavy rains and typhoons. TNF
