2 alleged Militia ng Bayan members surrender to Police

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Two alleged members of the Militia ng Bayan surrendered to region 2 police last May 30 and 31, 2020.

Regional Director Angelito Casimiro said that the first member surrendered in Sitio Udiao, barangay Daragutan West, San Mariano, Isabela.

Authorities named the surrenderee as Pidyong Ramos (not his real name) who also surrendered a grenade rifle.

In addition, Ramos was a former member of Sangayang Partido sa Lokalidad (SPL).

On the other hand, the second member who surrendered was named Jeremy (not his real name) who turned himself in to Rizal Police.
Jeremy told the police that he is a member of the Militia ng Bayan under a nearby affiliation of the group. “This is the result of the collective efforts of the police and the community in its battle to end armed conflicts,” Casimiro said. TNF
