TODAY’S NEWS CONFIRM PROPHECIES OF THE BIBLE: Reading the news stories on a lazy Saturday morning, October 08, 2016, gave me a sneaky feeling that the world today is indeed already living out the prophecies contained in the Bible of Christian believers. I refer particularly to the prophecy found in 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
This prophecy says: “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal…
It also states: “(People will) not (be) lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people…”

FILIPINOS AS CRIMINALS, RAPISTS: These are some of the news stories that I read: Seventy-nine year old Anselmo Espiritu of Sitio Mestiza, Bgy. San Agustin, Hagonoy, Bulacan, was literally butchered as soon as he arrived in his house on Friday, October 07, 2016. The three men who cut him to pieces with knives killed him so they could rob him of his money and valuables.
Police investigators claim that the three—Armando “Omar Arellano, 28, Ryan “Bula” Alvarez, 23, and Melnard Garcia, 29—were all high on drugs when they committed the crime. They are now in jail, awaiting trial, or, perhaps, execution if they try to escape or grab the firearms of police officers.
The second story pertains to Rolando “Lando” Barcia, who is being sued for having raped his 12-year old stepdaughter (daughter of his wife by another man), a grade three pupil in Bgy. San Francisco, General Trias, Cavite. Barcia is now in hiding and is being chased by investigators. The girl-victim claimed Barcia molested her while her mother was away.

FILIPINOS AS TODAY’S BEASTS: Again, my question is: what made many Filipinos the beasts that they are today, robbing and killing so they could have a little money to feed their families, and sexually molesting even their own relatives by blood or by affinity? In fact, what made many politicians the plunderers that they are today, stealing millions of government money, and fearlessly aligning themselves with drug lords and criminal syndicates?
Well, the Bible said this sad state of affairs will come because of only one reason: many no longer fear and love God because they are no longer listening to, nor obeying, His commands and are instead abandoning the faith, following deceiving spirits and things taught by the demons (see 1 Timothy 4:1).
On account of this, many will go to hell and eternally be burned and eaten by worms. To our readers here, will we allow this to happen to us and to our children (read Exodus 20:5)? As you read this, God is telling all of us that as the end of the world is nearing, we still have a chance to go back to Him. Read and study His Bible, and carefully obey all that is written in it.
