TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- A retired official of Police Regional Office 02 (PRO2) urged the ‘Valley Cops’ to continue serving the public with “utmost integrity, dedication and commitment” to solidify the “trust” of the people.
Retired Police Senior Superintendent Pedro Cuntapay told police officers this message during PRO2’s traditional flag ceremony here on Monday, June 4.
“Do something good for yourself, do something good to your service, do something good to your family, do something good to the lord and do something good today that you would be proud of tomorrow,’ Cuntapay said.
The former Quirino police provincial director also recalled his vision for the Philippine National Police (PNP) then.
“My vision for the PNP is that someday it will be the premiere law enforcement agency in the country operating under an environment of integrity responsibility and accountability inculcating upon all its member the universal doctrine that a public office is a public trust,” Cuntapay said.
Before retiring from police service in 2010, Cuntapay headed PRO2’s Regional Police Community Relations (PCR) division.
Cuntapay now serves as the Executive Assistant and Marketing Administrator of the City of Government of Tuguegarao.
As this week’s guest of honor and speaker, Cuntapay assisted PRO2 Deputy Regional Director for Operation Police Senior Superintendent Domingo Lucas in pinning Medalya ng Kagalingan to several police officers.
They were Police Senior Inspector Gary Macadangdang, Police Senior Inspector Ronald Balod, Police Senior Inspector Joel Bumanglag, Police Senior Inspector Reynaldo Viernes, Police Senior Inspector Virglio Vallangca, SPO2 Seron Lucas, PO2 Joemar Esperanza, and PO2 Benjamin Romin Jr. Northernforum.net
