
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Cauayan City’s “most wanted” person was arrested on Tuesday morning, June 5.
Cauayan City and San Agustin police officers nabbed Ernesto “Bernie” Tapaoan, 58, by virtue of warrant of arrest in District 1, Cauayan City, Isabela.
Tapaoan, a vendor, was arrested for murder with no bail bond recommended.
The suspect is from Santa Cruz, Ballesteros, Cagayan.
In a press release, Cagayan Valley Regional Director Police Chief Superintendent Jose Mario Espino said the arrest of Tapaoan is part of their intensified “Oplan Manhunt Charlie.”
Espino appealed to the public to “continuously help and coordinate with the police if they have
leads on the whereabouts of other wanted criminals.”
Meanwhile, police also arrested six wanted persons in separate operations in Isabela
and Cagayan.
Among them were farmer Antonio Gancinia, 46, and Aries Gancinia Magaoay, 20, the 8th most wanted in Tumauini town. Both were resident of Sisim Alto, Tumauini, Isabela and were wanted for robbery. Northernforum.net
