Additional source of income will now be available after the Department of Public Works and Highways – Nueva Vizcaya – Firt Distrcit Engineering Office completed the concreting of access roads connecting different themed zones in the Lower Magat Eco – Tourism (LMET) Park in Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya.
With a total amount of P11,374,000, the road paving project involved the concreting of the 5km access roads with that leads to different attractions in the LMET Park which are the coconut plantation, campsite, swimming pool, butterfly garden, and the farm animal and zoo park, among others.
“The Lower Magat Eco-Tourism Park of Diadi is one of the must-see places not just here in Nueva Vizacaya Province but in the whole Region 2,” District Engineer Oscar P. Gumiran said.
“With the completion of these access roads, the visitors can now tour around with ease and faster mobility,” he continued.
Gumiran also said that the completion of the project will boost social and economic activities in the locality, providing additional source of income to the residents with the influx of tourists.
The Lower Magat Eco-Tourism Park is one of the places that leads the promotion of Eco-tourism in the Province of Nueva Vizcaya. It is located within the 24,000-hectare forest land, while the Lower Magat Eco-tourism Park has a total land area of 1,000 hectare.
The LMET Part has cottages and picnic huts for accommodation and function services, and offers many activities like camping, boating, fishing and eco-trail which are ideal for all ages.
