TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Almost 99 percent of the preparation of the upcoming National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) is completed, few weeks away before the event on February 17-21, this year.
Octavio Cabasag, Chief Education Supervisor of the Curriculum Learning Management Division said that they have conducted a meeting with LGU Tuguegarao and concerned agencies to furnish the flow of the activity.
The official also said that the LGU already met with the TODA to assure that there will be no complaints regarding the abrupt increase of tricycle fare which tagged the city as “City of Capacity’.
Aside from the meetings, the Provincial Government of Cagayan contributed P2 million to augment the food supplies and other needs for the event.
Also, the Tuguegarao City Government helped DepEd R02 with P1.5 million budget aside from providing the venues and the accommodation.
On the other hand, P22 million came from DepEd Central Office.
DepEd R02 promised that there will be no more ‘chaotic’ experience during the NSPC ’20 in this city.
Over 5,000 student-journalists are expected to attend the event from the 17 regions in the Philippines.
