TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Senator Panfilo Lacson has assured the provincial government of Cagayan a P30 million aid for the relief operations and rehabilitation of damages brought by super typhoon Lawin.
In a press release, the Cagayan provincial information officer Rogie Sending said Lacson made the promise to Governor Manuel Mamba when he visited the former at Senate earlier this week.
Lacson, according to Sending, had also given Governor Mamba a P1.5 million as aid from the savings of his office.
“Tiniyak ni Senator Panfilo Lacson na magkakaloob ng 30-milyong pisong tulong ang Senado para sa mga nasalanta ng Super Typhoon Lawin. Ito ang siniguro ng senador kay Governor Manuel Mamba matapos ang kanilang pulong para sa paghahanda ng rehabilitation plan ng Cagayan,” Sending said.

Lacson told Mamba that fund will be lifted from the Senate’s savings.
Sending also disclosed that a businessman close to Lacson also donated P5 million to the provincial government.
They said they now working on the crafting of the rehabilitation plan based on the template of Yolanda Rehabilitation Plan. TNF
