TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Cagayan has inked a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Cagayan Valley Medical Center as support against the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (CoViD-19).
On April 13, 2020, Cagayan PCSO Manager Heherson Pambid said that they will donate P30 million to support CVMC.
“Ito po ay nagbibigay ng pinansyal na assitance sa CVMC the amount of P30 million. Ito po ay kasama doon sa P447 million na binibigay ng PCSO sa 81 government hospital nationwide”, he said.
Pambid also said that the fund was released by the central office on April 3, as a calamity response for #CoVid19.
In addition, Nueva Vizcaya and Isabela hospitals were also given a particular amount to fight against the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the donation should be used for the procurement of testing kits, PPEs, and other medical needs of the hospitals.
Pambid said that it could also be used for medical assistance for the CoVid-19 patients.
On the other hand, PCSO has stopped its other operations such as the sales and charity programs, but continues to make the Malasakit Center available.
Starting on April 15, PCSO will have its skeletal force to work on the medical assistance program.
