
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Typhoon Haima is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Monday afternoon, October 17, the state weather bureau PAGASA said.
In its 11 am weather bulletin, PAGASA said Haima will be locally named as Lawin once it entered the PAR.
It was last located 1,265 kilometers east of Visayas with a maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour and a gustiness of up to 185 kph.
The US Joint Typhoon Weather Center forecast that Typhoon Haima might become a supertyphoon before it reaches the coast of Northernmost Luzon or in Cagayan.
The next update on this weather system will be the initial Severe Weather Bulletin issued 5:00 PM this afternoon and the next update will be incorporated in the 5:00 AM public weather forecast to be issued tomorrow. TNF
