CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela– The city government of this city has started processing the necessary documents for the construction of a PHP400- million sports complex in preparation for the hosting of the 2019 Cagayan Valley Regional Athletic Association (CAVRAA) meet.
Mayor Bernard Faustino Dy said the city government will secure a loan from Landbank, a government financial institution, to realize the construction of the sports complex.
He said the city government cannot shoulder the huge amount and the only option is to borrow from a government financial institution.
Dy said the soon-to-rise sports complex will be erected in Barangay Cabaruan, Cauayan City.
“We hope that by the middle of this year the construction of the sports complex will commence and expected to be completed in the last quarter of 2018,” Dy said.
He said P300 million is allotted for the construction of the sports complex and its facilities while the P100 million will be used for the concreting of roads and lighting facilities going to the sports complex and within the sports facilities. PNA
