TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The Bureau of Jail and Penology Regional Office 2 (BJMP-RO2) has reiterated that visiting inmates is still not allowed following the total lockdown directive of the national office.
Assistant Regional Director for Operation JCINSP Romeo Villante Jr. said that they offer an alternative way to communicate with their families or Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).
He also said that with the crisis at hand, it has limited the movement of the jail officers going out from the jails.
BJMP-RO2 has created a team that will fetch or buy the basic needs of PDL and other officers inside the jail.
Meanwhile, Villante explained that they are able to help the frontliners by producing hand-made face shields, masks and other equipment that the hospitals can use.
The bureau calls the families of PDL to understand the situation at hand.
Furthermore, those families who want to avail the E-Dalaw, they may coordinate with the local jail warded in the area. TNF
