TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines– The town police chief of Iguig, Cagayan denied reports that the suspect in the slay of 19-year old Donna Pascual was already arrested.
In a phone interview, Police Senior Inspector Avelino Canceran said they have yet to identify the suspect of the killing but admitted they have already talked to some of the neighbors who heard the Donna’s screams seconds after she was hacked to death on Sunday, October 9.
Canceran, in an interview with a local radio, said the Scene of the Crime Operatives already examined the footprints, finger prints and the clothes left by the suspect.
He added that there are signs that Donna fought back to a supposed attempt of rape.
Police had earlier said that there were no motive of robbery since the cellphones and cash of the victim remained. TNF
