2 Muay Thai kickboxers from Tuguegarao bag golds in Ultimate Knockout Challenge

TUGUEGARAO CITY, PHILIPPINES- Two Muay Thai fighters from Tuguegarao won two gold medals at the Ultimate Knockout Challenge in Paranaque on May 20 last week.

Aldrex Butacan, 15, and Jay-ar Irang, 17, won both of their fights via unanimous decision against fighters from all over the Philippines.

Butacan and Irang are part of the Ybanag Fight Team and are currently training at the Silverback MMA Gym.

 

They were trained  by Joseph Lim, the head coach of the Silverback and President of the Muay Thai Association of the Philippines Tuguegarao Chapter.

The UKC tournament  is an amateur sports event sanctioned by the Elorde Sports Center in Paranaque. The tournament has three divisions: Boxing, Muay Thai, and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Northernforum.net
