TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- The state weather bureau has advised river systems and its nearby areas of flash floods due to light to moderate rainfall brought by Tropical Depression Kiko.
In an advisory issued at 7:00 AM on Tuesday, September 5, Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration warned the following river systems:
· Middle main Cagayan river and its tributaries
– Magat river
– Siffu river
– Mallig river
– Pinacanauan rivers of Ilagan, Tumauini, San Pablo and Tuguegarao
· Lower main Cagayan river and its tributaries
– Pared river
– Dummun river
– Zinundungan river
– Chico river
· Allied rivers
– Abulug river
– Baua river
PAGASA advised residents and local disaster risk reduction and management councils to be alert for possible flash floods at river mid-stream sections.
