2 court employees shot dead in Cagayan Valley

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan- Two court employees were gunned down by suspected riding in tandem in a shooting incident in Cagayan Valley region.

On Tuesday morning, September 27, two court employees were shot dead in Allacapan town in Cagayan province.

According to a report of the Allacapan police station, the victims were identified as Joseph Allan Ragasa, 36, legal researcher of the Regional Trial Court-Aparri Branch 9 and a resident of Abulug town; and Francis Guillermo Ugalino of Cabulluan West, Ballesteros town, a utility worker at the Municipal Trial Court Branch 1.

The victims were riding a car on their way to Aparri when the still unidentified gunmen fired at them in front of Matucal Elementary School.

Police are seeing the connections of the two in illegal drug trade as possible motive.
