TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN – Mayor Carmelo Villacete of Piat town in Cagayan province has tested positive for Corona virus disease 2019.
Villacete announced on his facebook account today, April 2, 2020 “To my loved ones and constituents whom l proudly and dearly served…thank you very much for the support, prayers, honor and understanding you have bestowed upon me. l am found to be positive with the virus. I am really sorry l failed you in this fight. Please continue praying for me for God to give me more time to cleansed my soul. I love you all.”
In addition, On March 31, he also posted in his facebook account a photo of a medical worker taking care of him.
Meanwhile, there are now four recovered patients discharged from Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC), one yesterday and another three this day.
As of now, the Department of Health confirmed one additional case in the region bringing it up to a total of 21.
DOH also said that there are 338 Persons Under Investigation in the region while 18,389 Persons Under Monitoring in the entire Cagayan Valley region.
DOH also reminded the public the proper ways of sanitizing to prevent the virus from spreading.
