Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – There are three (3) new cases of CoVid-19 confirmed by DOH OIC Director Leticia Cabrera today, bringing the total of recorded cases up to 30.
The latest recorded case is PH7274, a 72-year-old male who was initially admitted to the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital (NVPH) then recently transferred to the care of Region 2 Trauma Medical Center (R2TMC) in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
The two other patients, PH 7236 and PH7308 are currently admitted in SIMC or the Southern Isabela Medical Center. PH7236, a 28-year-old male health worker is from Santiago City. PH7308 also a health worker is a 27-year-old male from Alfonso Lista, Ifugao working in Santiago City. Both PH7236 and PH7308 were reported to have been exposed in the line of duty to PH4805 who has already recovered from the disease.
Dr. Leticia Cabrera reminds the public not be complacent, as the region still has cases of the coronavirus disease and that the enemy in CoVid-19 is invisible and cannot be traced. Furthermore, contact tracing is now being done by the Department of Health, DILG and the LGUs to avoid the spread of the disease.
