
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines– Tropical Storm Jolina has further intensified as it nears the provinces of Isabela and Aurora, still moving west-northwest at a speed of 19 kph.
In the 11 am update of the sate weather bureau on Friday, August 25, Jolina is now located approximately 210 kilometers southeast of Casiguran, Aurora, now with maximum sustained winds of 80 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 95 kph.
Jolina is expected to make its landfall on Friday evening in Isabela.

Areas under storm signals are advised to stay alert for possible flashfloods and landslides. Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains are expected within the 400 kilometer diameter of the tropical storm.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) advised that sea travel is risky over the seaboard of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon.
PAGASA forecast Jolina to be in Abra province tomorrow, August 26.
The tropical storm is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday evening, August 26, in the Ilocos area. Northernforum.net
