TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- A 31-year old man was killed by his coworker after reportedly having an argument over a primetime television show, Wednesday, August 23, in San Isidro, Isabela.
The victim was identified as Roger Dag-uman Manisa, a farm caretaker in the town and resident of Barangay Concepcion, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur.
The suspect, Alex Baquirin Garcia, 30, resident of nearby Alicia, Isabela and coworker of Manisa, surrendered voluntarily to the police. Garcia admitted that he killed Manisa after a heated argument on the TV series “La Luna Sangre.”
San Isidro Police reported that Manisa was shot several times and that a gunshot to the head resulted to his death. Police found the victim’s lifeless and bloodied body in a nipa hut.
Police said that the two were having a drinking session at the farm before the incident happened. Another farm caretaker attempted to rush Manisa to the hospital.
The police were able to recover a caliber .38 revolver with one live ammo and two fired cartridge case for the firearm. These were concealed in a parked tricycle near the crime scene.
