TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Tropical Storm Jolina has made landfall over Casiguran town in Aurora province Friday evening, August 25.
State weather bureau PAGASA said Jolina’s center was spotted to have landed over Casiguran 8:15 pm Friday.
PAGASA said the storm has slowed down to 17 kilometers per hour (kph) as it continues to move west northwest.
As of 8 pm, Jolina has maximum sustained winds of 80 kph and a gustiness of up to 95 kph.

These areas are advised to stay alert for possible flashfloods and landslides. Moderate to heavy rains are now expected within the 300 kilometer diameter of the tropical storm, from the previous 400 km coverage.
PAGASA also advised that sea travel is risky over the seaboard of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon.
The state weather bureau forecast Jolina to be 65 kilometers west-northwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur in the next 24 hours.
