Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Three native beauty queens from Region 2 have made it to the top 100 candidates for the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 competition as announced by the Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) organization on Monday, July 19.
Gianne Asuncion from Lingu, Solana will be representing Cagayan province, Xyrille Caluya from Maddela town will be representing Quirino province, and Julie Mae Villanueva from Cauayan City will be representing the province of Isabela.
Meanwhile, another chosen candidate from Quirino province is Princess Kristha Singh, who also made it to the top 100 delegates and will be representing Pasig City.
The Miss Universe Philippines Competition this year will start with 100 delegates and will be given several challenges to narrow the queens to be down to 75, then again screened down to 50, basing on the votes from the Miss Universe Philippines mobile app.
According to the MUP organization, the top 50 qualifiers will fly to Manila for personal interviews and then the final 30 will be revealed by August 31, 2021.
The last 30 candidates will be competing live during the coronation night set on September 25, 2021.
There are also familiar beauty queens in the roster such as Miss Supranational 2018 runner-up Katrina Dimaranan, actress Kisses Delavin, Season 5 of the Asia’s Next Top Model winner Maureen Wroblewitz and Miss Globe 2019 2nd runner-up Leren Mae Bautista. TNF
