Suspected carnapper shot dead in Isabela

 TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – A hot pursuit – retrieval operation went bloody when an alleged carnapper was shot dead after firing at authorities in Cauayan City, Isabela on Friday.

In a report from Philippine National Police Region 02, the suspected carnapper was identified as Noel Guzman, a resident of Ugac Sur, Tuguegarao City, who drew up his firearm which prompted the police to shoot at him.

According to the report, Cauayan City Police Station received a carnapping incident report from a resident whose red Yamaha Sniper 150 motorcycle was stolen.

Police then formed an operation to recover the stolen motorcycle and arrest the suspect.

The hot pursuit operation ended at Barangay Nagrumbuan, Cauayan City, Isabela when authorities saw someone trying to detach a plate number from a red Yamaha Sniper motorcycle.

Authorities went to talk to Guzman to ask for documents but the he pulled out a gun from his waist which led to his death.

Cauayan City Crime Laboratory recovered one improvised caliber .45-caliber revolver and two pieces of plastic sachet containing substance suspected to be Methamphetamine or Shabu. northernforum.net
