TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Cagayan Valley Police have caught 10 more drug suspects this week in their “intensified” anti-illegal drug operations over the region.
In a report from Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) sent to Northern Forum, Cagayan Valley Regional Police Director Chief Superintendent Jose Mario Espino identified the suspects as Bienvenido “Ben” Cainguitan of Claveria, Cagayan; and laborer Ferdinand Del Rosario, 32, of Magapit, Lal-lo, Cagayan.
Also caught in an anti illegal drugs operation was trike driver Richard Ambiong, 40, of Aparri, Cagayan.
Meanwhile, Isabela police nabbed suspects Jaypee Gabriel, 22, of Luna town; Armenio Miguel Sr, 46, of San Placido, Roxas town, and reported drug surrenderer Garry Gabarda, 35, in Jones town.
Meanwhile, police also caught Virgilio “Cano” Arculesa, 42, of Buenavista, Santiago City. Police said the suspect is reportedly listed under the president’s watch list.
Santiago City police also nabbed a 17-year old student from Barangay Caloocan, police said.
Further, police also arrested Marlon Abad, 34, of Brgy Aurora West, Diffun, Quirino and Kyle Soriano, 19, a native of Baler, Aurora but presently residing at San Manuel Isabela.
In his report to Camp Crame, Espino said most of the suspects were caught trying to sell illegal drugs to a poseur-buyer.
Further, some of the suspects were either drug surrenders or newly identified drug personalities.
The suspects will face charges against Republic Act 9165, PRO2 said in a release.
Meanwhile, Espino commended the various police teams for their successful operations.
Espino also asked for the cooperation of the public and other law enforcement agencies to rid illegal drugs from the region. Northernforum.net
