TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Two men were killed after a car hit their motorcycle along Barangay Darumuangan Sur, San Mateo, Isabela on Saturday, January 6.
The victims were Reynante Daño, 30, and farmer Reymundo Damasco, 52. Both were from Barangay Marasat Pequeño of the said town.
San Mateo police said a Nissan Almera driven by 29-year old overseas Filipino worker Mardie Cabotaje from Lal-lo, Cagayan was on-route to Santiago City when the victims in motorcycle suddenly crossed from the shoulder of the road. This resulted to a “heavy collision.”
Police added that the car dragged the motorcycle for more or less 50 meters until it reached a concrete cement box.
The victims were rushed to the hospital but were declared dead on arrival. The suspect was also brought to the hospital for medical attention and subsequently placed under custody of San Mateo police. Northernforum.net
