TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan—Valley Cops Regional Director PBGEN Jose Mario M Espino announced yesterday that the case in the killing of Barangay Captain Orlino Gannaban of Lallayug, Tuao is considered cleared.
The pronouncement was issued after PNP Cagayan Provincial Director PCOL Ignacio Cumigad Jr. confirmed that criminal charges were already filed against Ronald Gannaban (no relationship with the victim), a resident of Brgy Iluru Sur, Rizal, Cagayan.
Cumigad said that a case of Murder and Frustrated Murder against Ronald Gannaban was filed at the Office of the Asst. Prosecutor.
Regional Director Espino said, PNP authorities are just waiting for the issuance of the warrant of arrest against the suspect for the manhunt to be conducted.
It was on May 27, 2019 at about 3:30 PM in Brgy Lallayug, Tuao, Cagayan, Brgy Capt Gannaban while sitting in his motorcycle and about to drive going home together with his back rider Brgy. Tanod Espidion Zingabo, when the suspect drew his short firearm and suddenly shot the victims. Brgy.
