
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Police on Wednesday, May 9, arrested 11 persons, one of them a businessman, in a raid in a drug den in Lal-lo town in Cagayan province.
In a press release, the Cagayan Valley regional police said arresting authorities stormed the house of Edward Sac, through a court warrant suspecting him of keeping his bar in Barangay Magapit as a drug den.
Aside from Sac, police also arrested the following: Arnel Cabison, 32; Jerry Villanueva, 31; Jhon Christian Corpuz, 24; Ramil Berandal, 29; Merry Ann Bejet, 29; Leslie Delos Reyes Baniqued, 25; Jessica Zarate, 22; Marilou Sac, 37; Analyn Mercado, 22; and Melanie Sencio, 35. Police said all of them were inside the establishment when the warrant was issued.
In a report, Police Senior Superintendent Warren Tolito says the arrest was a result of the join operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), regional mobile force battalion, and the local police of Lal-lo town.
Recovered from the crime scene suspected dried marijuana leaves, suspected shabu crystals, aluminum foils, aluminum tooter, and a lighter.
The suspects are now facing illegal drug violations before the court. Northernforum.net
