
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Police are still searching for a lead after six masked men robbed Cagayan State University (CSU) Piat Campus on August 28.
Six armed men with face masks sneaked into the Administrative Building of CSU Piat Campus early in the morning, and tied down two security guards who were held at gunpoint.
Vicente Binasoy, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CSU Piat called the local police to report the incident after seeing guards Pedro Malana and Dante Formoso tied down using ropes and straws.
In a report, PNP Piat authorities interviewed the guards and said that thieves were carrying caliber .38 and caliber .45 guns.
After being tied down, the armed men stormed to the accounting office, cashier office, store room, and even destroyed the lock of the CEO’s office.
According to PCpt. Gil Pagulayan, Chief of Police of PNP Piat, this is the third incident where the CSU Piat Campus has been robbed.
