TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- A 78-year old man was found dead inside his hotel room in Abulug, Cagayan on Tuesday night, February 6.
The victim was Andres Agpuldo Sr, a resident of Doña Loreta, Pudtol, Apayao, who, authorities say, died after going into cardiac arrest.
The hotel receptionist told Abulug police the victim checked in at Far East Center hotel at 1:15 PM, Tuesday.
Few minutes later, a woman went inside the victim’s room. When the woman was to leave the hotel, the receptionist asked for Agpuldo, to which the woman replied in Ilocano,“Sumarunu tun lattan.”
Later, the receptionist tried to knock on Agpuldo’s door but received no response. Upon opening the door, she found the man unconscious on bed, prompting her to call police.
Responding police found no signs of struggle.
Abulug Municipal Health Officer Doctor Litamin Gonzales confirmed the victim died after going into cardiac arrest.
Gonzales also noted that a condom was still placed on Agpuldo’s penis.
Agpuldo’s body and his personal belongings were turned over to his daughter, police said. Northernforum.net
