TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- A 31-year old man and his three-year old daughter were hurt after two armed men attacked them in their house in Barangay 4, San Mateo, Isabela on Thursday night, August 10.
Police Chief Inspector Richard Gatan of San Mateo Police told The Northern Forum that Reagan Yuson Padua was sitting in their lobby at around 6:55pm when unidentified gunmen rushed to their abode and began shooting him several times.
Padua sustained several gunshot wounds. His daughter, who was reportedly doing her homework before the incident, was hit on her buttock by a stray bullet.
The suspects then fled on a motorcycle.
The victims were rushed at the nearest hospital. Gatan said the child underwent successful surgery to remove the bullet and is now recovering with her father in Santiago City.
Initial investigation states that Padua had a quarrel with the suspect who may be his relative.
San Mateo police managed to get a close circuit television (CCTV) footage of the incident and is currently verifying the identity of the suspects.
