Permanent employees in Cagayan prov’l gov’t “around 1,700”-HRMO chief

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- The Provincial Government of Cagayan has around 1,700 permanent employees, Cagayan Provincial Human Resources Management Officer Virgilio Olangco said.

In Cagayan Provincial Information Office’s Pagdidinnamagan Kapehan sa Kapitolyo on Monday, October 23, Olangco said that the current number of contractual employees, on the other hand, is “700, more or less.” Most of them are assigned in district hospitals.

Meanwhile, Olangco said the number of casuals is now “more or less 20.”

Olangco stated that the provincial government has recently closed the screening of 44 new vacant permanent positions applications. Around 30% of almost 300 vacant positions of have been opened as of now.

Meanwhile, the HRMO chief assured that there is no favoring or “palakasan” in the appointment and screening of Capitol employee applicants. He said that the governor picks the one who garnered the highest score in the assessment of the Personnel Selection Board.

Also on Monday, 23 newly promoted and appointed district hospital employees took oath before Governor Manuel Mamba. Northernforum.net
