TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Tropical Storm Jolina (international name: Pakhar) is set to make landfall over Aurora province on Friday evening, August 25.
Signal Number 2 was raised in the provinces of Isabela, Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya while Signal Number 1 was raised in Cagayan province including the Calayan and Babuyan Group of Islands.
In the 5 PM update of the state weather bureau PAGASA, Jolina is now located at approximately 110 kilometers southeast of Casiguran, Aurora, with maximum sustained winds of 80 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 95 kph. It is moving west-northwest at a speed of 19 kph.
