TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A Grade 11 senior high school student was shot dead by an alleged drunk police officer in Barangay Del Pilar in San Mariano, Isabela on Saturday, November 19.
In a police report, San Mariano police identified the victim as 17-year old Christian Gallo and the suspect as SPO4 Jonathan Ariola.
In their initial investigation, Ariola accosted the victim, together with his cousin, for wearing a camouflage in front of a store in Foodstreet, Zone 1 in Barangay Del Pilar.
Gallo sustained gunshot wounds in his head while his cousin was spared.
Witnesses said the suspect allegedly forced the cousins to kneel to the ground before shooting Gallo. TNF
